Leicester Ivanhoe 2nd XI v Ashby Hastings Cricket Club 1st XI on Sat 06 Aug 2011 at 1.30pm
Match was Drawn AHCC 14pts Ivanhoe 6pts

Match report Rain ruined Hastings chances of clinching victory against Ivanhoe 2s, falling just 21 runs short of winning and having faced just 24 overs due to the rain interruptions. Hastings chose to bowl first and again the opening pair of Rico and Lanny bowled superbly, the former taking a 5-wicket haul and the latter chipping in with the last wicket, although his bowling deserved far more. Jimmy Neal was his ever-reliable self, picking up 3 more wickets, and Perko, ably filling-in for the resting Giles, took the other wicket.
Hastings knew quick runs would be needed with the dark clouds gathering, and were 28 off 3-overs when rain stopped play for 40 mins. Eventually after another 35 min loss to rain, the innings was reduced to just 24-overs, with all the batsmen going for the win but eventually running out of overs. Tom Yates top-scored with 44, Triff scored a quick 29, George Carline an excellent 26, and Lanny finishing with a flourish on 15 not out. So near, yet so far, with the weather the only thing preventing another emphatic win.
