Match report Newtown Linford won the toss and elected to bat. After 10 overs they were 41/1 against a good Hastings bowling attack (Jack Hoult 2/16, Dan Cooper 1/10 and Jack Rowley 1/12). However, 4 run outs (2 each from Jack and Harry Rowley and 4 good catches (Henry Legg, Jack Rowley, Jack Mills and Jack Hoult) kept Newtown Linford's score down to 92/8 off 20 overs.

Ashby were soon in trouble after a mix up between Henry Legg and Harry Rowley which resulted in Rowley being run out for 1. Then a partnership of 31 between Henry Legg and Jack Hoult steadied the innings before Legg was out LBW for 9. Jack Hoult continued his excellent form with the bat this season and retired on 25 not out (innings included 3 fours). It was left to Josh Ellwood (15 not out) and Dan Cooper (8 not out) to sensibly use the overs and gain some useful batting practice to ensure Ashby won again and still remain unbeaten this season.
