Ashby won the toss again and elected to bat. We never got going against a useful Anstey bowling attack who were also unbeaten this year. A very low score looked on the cards at 44/7 but a great partnership of 36 between William Legg (11 no) and Harry Rowley (4) took the score to a respectable 85/9. Jack Mills (10) was the only other player to reach double figures.

It looked a early finish as Anstey soon reached 20/0 off 4 overs. Enter Henry Legg (3/8) and Jack Hoult (3/18) as they reduced the home side to 44/7 but Ashby couldn't break the 8th wicket pair and Anstey reached the winning score with three balls to spare.
