Ashby Hastings Cricket Club Won 64 runs

Match report Ashby won the toss and as usual decided to bat. Harry Rowley continued his very good form and went past 100 runs for the season before retiring on 25. This was his fourth + 25 of the season. He was well supported by Henry Legg (17), Dan Cooper (14). Jack Mills (11 no) and Bertie Rushton (8 no) who between them scored 22 off the last two overs to ensure Ashby posted a good total of 143-6 off 20 overs.

Jack Rowley (2/18) opened the bowling and in his first over sent two Loughborough batsmen back to the pavilion. Loughborough then staged a comeback before a very good catch by Cameron Stewart dismissed their opener. As the rain looked likely Henry Legg was introduced to the attack. Despite being hit for six off his second ball he bowled excellently taking a career best of 5/18. He was well supported by Dan Cooper 2/4 and some excellent with Harry Rowley taking 3 catches (and a run out), Jack Hoult 2 and one each for Luke Norman and Cameron Stewart. The team was well supported by Bertie Ruston behind the stumps who only conceded 4 byes.
